I was at my parents this weekend and while in the garden I gathered lots of season’s goodies: green beans, peas, kohlrabies, potatoes and so on. A lot of green beans.

Also from my father’s, I got some dozens of free-range eggs, so I wanted to cook something to combine these two main ingredients.

The recipe I invented is mainly a Hungarian recipe with the addition of the hard-boiled eggs to the stew somewhat Southeast Asian style.

Ingredients (4 servings):

  • 1 kg fresh green beans (I used green butter-beans, also called wax-beans)Hungarian Green Beans Paprikas
  • 2 garlic bulbs peeledHungarian Green Beans Paprikas
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1-2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 6-8 hard-boiled eggs
  • 400 ml cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • a handful of parsley leaves
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch


Preparation method:

  1. Wash and cut the ends of green bean pods.

  3. Heat the oil in a large pan and add the chopped garlic and onion. Fry them until translucent.Hungarian Green Beans Paprikas
  4. Add the green bean pods to the pan and add water until mostly covers the beans. add some salt. Cover with a lid and bring to boil. Cook at medium temperature until the bean pods are almost done.

Mushroom Shaped Deviled Eggs Recipe

I had some leftover Easter eggs and remembering an idea of a recipe I found on the site: nosalty.hu, I decided to do my personal take on this recipe, as follows:

Ingredients (4 persons):

  • 4 hard-boiled eggs or Easter eggs
  • 4 smaller tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon sour creme
  • 1 teaspoon hot paprika
  • 2 green onions
  • salt to taste

Preparation method:

  1. Peel the eggs.
  2. Cut a thinner slice off each egg’s wider end to ensure a stable base for the mushroom.
  3. Cut a thicker slice off each egg’s narrow end and carefully scoop the yolks from the eggs.
  4. Dice the green part of a green onion and add to a bowl together with the yolks, creme cheese, sour creme, hot paprika and salt.
  5. Using a fork mash and mix all the ingredient in the bowl.
  6. Place the hollow eggs standing and fill them with the mixture.
  7. Slice the tomatoes in two and place their bottom halves on top of the eggs.
  8. Decorate the tomatoes with some dots of sour creme add the chopped remaining green onion as decoration beside.

Ouă umplute în formă de ciuperci

Mi-au rămas câteva ouă roșii de Paști şi amintindu-mi de ideea unei rețete pe care am găsit-o pe siteul nosalty.hu, am decis să fac abordarea mea personală a acestei rețete, după cum urmează:

Ingrediente (4 persoane):

  • 4 ouă fierte tari sau de ouă de Paști
  • 4 roșii mici
  • 1 lingură de brânză topită
  • 1 lingură de smântână
  • 1 linguriță de boia iute
  • 2 cepe verzi
  • sare după gust

Metoda de preparare:

  1. Decojiți ouăle.
  2. Tăiați o felie subțire din capătul mai lat al fiecărui ou pentru a asigura o bază stabilă pentru ciuperci.
  3. Tăiați o felie mai groasă din capătul mai ascuțit al fiecărui ou şi scoateți cu atenție gălbenușurile.
  4. Mărunțiți partea verde a unei cepe verzi şi o adaugați-o într-un bol, împreună cu gălbenușurile, brânza topita, smântâna, boiaua iute şi sarea.
  5. Folosind o furculiță, sfărâmați şi amestecați toate ingredientele din bol.
  6. Așezați în picioare ouăle golite şi umpleți-le cu amestecul de mai sus.
  7. Tăiați roșiile în două şi puneți jumătățile lor inferioare deasupra ouălor.
  8. Decorați pălărioarele roșii cu câteva buline din smântâna şi adaugați alături restul de ceapă verde tăiată ca şi decor.

Gomba alakú töltött tojás recept

Mivel megmaradt egy pár húsvéti tojásom és emlékezve egy recept ötletre amit olvastam a nosalty.hu web oldalán úgy döntöttem hogy kiprobálom ennek a receptnek saját verziómat, az alábbiak szerint:

Hozzávalók (4 személyre):

  • 4 keményre főtt tojás, vagy húsvéti tojás
  • 4 kisebb paradicsom
  • 1 evőkanál krémsajt
  • 1 evőkanál tejföl
  • 1 teáskanál erős paprika
  • 2 zöldhagyma
  • só, ízlés szerint

Elkészítési módszer:

  1. Hámozzuk meg a tojásokat.
  2. Vágjunk le egy vékonyabb szeletet az összes tojás tompa végjükből, ezáltal egy stabil alapot biztosítunk a gombáknak.
  3. Vágjunk le egy vastagabb szeletet az összes tojás hegyes végjükből és óvatosan kotorjuk ki a tojások sárgáját.
  4. Aprítsuk fel egy zöld hagyma zöldjét, és adjunk hozzá egy tálba a tojássárgával, krém sajttal, tejföllel erős paprikával és sóval együtt.
  5. Villával áttörjük és összekeverjük a tálban levő hozzávalókat.
  6. Helyezzük az üreges tojásokat függőleges pozícióban és töltsük őket meg a keverékkel.
  7. Szeleteljük ketté a paradicsomokat és alsó részüket tegyük a tojások tetejükre.
  8. DDíszítsük a paradicsomokat néhány tejföl ponttal és tegyük melléjük a maradék apróra vágott zöldhagymát.
